I installed a couple of electrical turnout controllers on the Bombay yard. These are similar to ones that were starting to be deployed in Bombay in 1970's

I just added a new lighted Bombay West signal box. This was installed in place of the old signal box which was moved to handle yard signalling.
Just installed a Signal Box at Delhi East. The Delhi West signal box has been moved as the yard signal box
In my layout I have a lift-up bridge which connects upper deck to the lower deck. I added bridge girders and lights to this bridge. Lampposts added are standard Railway type with LED lights, they have a ladder attached.
I added a Power Hose underneath the Tiger pass bridge. It has a Hindustam Motors Ambassador car, a Herald van and a Tata truck standing in front of it.
In India at every railway crossing there are massive jams as everybody tries to go first, usually using the wrong side of the road. The picture from my layout is pretty tame compared to what is seen on the actual crossing in India.
I am in the process of adding Semaphore signals throughout the layout. These are DCC controlled. Here is a picture of a closer look of the ones I am installing. It still non operational, but I will be wiring it up to my DCC bus soon.
Just installed a crossing gate near the lower deck temple. These gates were manually operated by a gatekeeper who lived on a small hut near the gate..
Started installing Operational Semaphore signals on the layout. These are fully operational and controlled thru DCC. The first two are now placed on the way out of the Bombay Yard.
My Plasser & Theurer Tamping machine in action on my layout. Although these were introduced in India way after the period of this layout, I like the workings of these machines.
