WDG-4P Dual cab diesel, with a cold start and hard shutdown sequences hauling a freight train. Loco does a cold start and then positions to haul a goods train from a siding and then does a hard shutdown at the Bombay Yard.

The WCM1 class were the first mainline mixed electric locomotives in India of any type/traction. They were imported fully built by English Electric/Vulcan Foundry, UK in 1954. 3700 HP  Here is a unique GE U50 locomotive eight-axle engine with a B+B-B+B. wheel arrangement unusual. The loco generated 5000 HP (two 2500 HP engines) and was 83 ft 6.5 in (25.46 m), A heavy freight locomotive these were the only cab forward locomotive in USA. I will post a video of it soon operating a freight train.  Bhawani Mandi Railway station is unique, it straddles two states, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, very unique.  Just acquired a model of WCM-1 Electric loco, will add DCC decoder with sound to it shortly. These were mainly used out of Bombay and were introduced in 1954  DMU leaves Bombay and makes a first stop at the lower deck village, it then continues on the upper deck and crosses back to Bombay over golden bridge.  Here is a video of an A4 Mallard loco on my layout. It is historically significant as the holder of the world (UK) speed record for steam locomotives at 126 mph (203 km/h). The streamlined body on a pacific achieved this record in UK  A WDM2 clone first backs into a train at Bombay station, loco is switched off next loco is started, guard whistles start and it slowly pulls out of the station.  |
