A brand new steam locomotive (Oil burner) for the Nilgari Mountain railway built in India. The 3rd locomotive was produced in 2014. It is a copy of 1918 X class and has a cog and wheel system to navigate the steep grades, average gradient of 1 in 12.5.
The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway B class loco still operates tourist trains. Here is a cab view of this famous narrow gauge railway.
A great steam-car from Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka also uses the Broad Gauge ( 5 ft 6 in (1,676 mm)) gauge system as India and India has supplied many locomotives and coaches to Sri Lanka.
Double headed MWGX Beyer Garratt's with a mineral/coal train on a steap grade towards the second deck on my layout
Locomotives in a 2-8-0 configuration are rare, her is an old HGS class which has been abandoned.
